Expanded Polystyrene is a combustible material and therefore should be protected from open sources of ignition, such as flames other sources of combustion. Combustible material of an increased thickness or higher density will increase fuel loading and therefore increase the measured flame spread ratings when tested in accordance with CAN/ULC S102.2
